To emphasize their philosophy on journalism we created a text-based visual identity that does right by the quality and quantity of Spit’s investigations. In a time where news is consumed in a snappy and snack-like manner, we wanted to highlight the effort and attention to detail that goes into building a case and telling a story.

We developed a graphic system that allows a user to highlight and alter text styles to add nuance and apply focus where needed. Writing an article, research paper, story or think piece takes time and attention. This principle is translated to a fresh and contemporary visual identity with classical elements serving multiple target audiences.

Accompanying this is a expansive website that sheds light on important stories and houses an extensive archive.
