Position: Project manager

LMNOP is looking for a project manager with at least 3 years of experience in an agency or studio context. You are the link between content, design and client, someone who provides structure without stifling the process. You understand that project management at LMNOP is not an administrative function, but a substantive role: you safeguard not only the planning but also the quality, logic and coherence of what we make. You will contribute to a wide range of projects, from visual identities and publications to exhibitions and campaigns. You are used to long-term projects with multiple stakeholders and know how to keep a process clear from briefing to delivery.

Who you are

You are independent, ambitious, proactive and curious, and you enjoy working as part of a team. You communicate well, can switch gears quickly, think in solutions and are stress-resistant. You are someone who keeps oversight without controlling everything. You ask the right questions at clients, the team and yourself. You understand that good projects are created not only through talent, but also through structure, timing and trust.

In addition, you can build and maintain relationships with employees, clients and stakeholders, and you are a credible conversation partner on behalf of our agency. You understand creative processes and can deal with them flexibly. You love content. You enjoy working on projects that are about something, projects that deserve attention.

What you will do
  • You safeguard the planning, budget and scope of several projects at the same time without losing sight of the goal or the content.
  • You are the first point of contact for clients and ensure that communication is clear, proactive and substantive.
  • You move smoothly between the creative team and external partners such as printers, builders, developers and photographers.
  • You draw up quotations, planning schedules and briefings, and safeguard the consistency of project documentation.
  • You identify risks in planning, budget or expectations before they become a problem and take the initiative to discuss them.
  • You supervise production processes: from print and build to digital delivery, and you know what is at stake at every stage of a production process.
  • You contribute to the concept phase, not as a designer, but as someone who keeps the question sharp and understands the content.
  • You contribute to improving our internal processes and ways of working.
What you bring
  • You have an affinity with art, culture, branding and design, and are socially informed and engaged.
  • At least 3 years of relevant project management experience in an agency or studio context.
  • A Bachelor’s level of working and thinking.
  • Experience running several projects at the same time in different phases.
  • A strong sense of communication: you write clearly, speak directly and listen well.
  • Experience setting up quotations, planning schedules and project briefings.
  • Knowledge of production processes: print, build, digital and knows what it takes to succeed
  • Working with project management software is second nature to you (Basecamp or similar), and you are comfortable with the MS Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • You have a good command of Dutch and English — both spoken and written.
Who you are not
  • Someone who sees project management as keeping a to-do list.
  • Someone who only speaks to the client when there is a problem.
  • Someone who thinks they do not need to understand the content of a project in order to manage it.
  • Someone who waits for clarity instead of creating it themselves.

LMNOP is a multidisciplinary creative office for visual communication. We work on a variety of physical and digital projects ranging from visual identities to publications and exhibition design, for clients and partners in the cultural and commercial domain.

What we offer
  • Working on meaningful, substantively strong projects.
  • A role with real substantive involvement, not just coordination.
  • Direct collaboration with clients and creative partners.
  • A competitive salary in line with the guidelines of the BNO (Association of Dutch Designers). Salary scale depending on experience.
  • A temporary contract with the prospect of a permanent one.
  • A small team with friendly, ambitious and honest colleagues.
  • An open, personal and informal working atmosphere and shared lunch.
  • A beautiful workplace in the historic centre of Utrecht with a view of the Dom Church.
  • Budget for personal development.
  • Pension scheme.
