In 2023 we developed a new system based on the identity of Gaudeamus. The challenge was to evolve their identity and come up with an approach that would be usable for many more years to come without loosing recognisability and feeling like a repetition. Their current graphic system is based on the staff lines used to write music on so we interpreted the lines into a more fluid system that translates sounds to shapes signifying the wide spectrum of music you experience when visiting the festival. In 2024 we built further on this concept and developed new shapes and animations that look new but still feel like Gaudeamus underlining the strength of the system and approach.
